This position is responsible for working in partnership with the County Court System\'s diversion program as a team member that will assist peers in regaining independence within the community and mastery over their own recovery process. The peer specialist will function as a role model to peers; exhibiting competency on personal recovery and use of coping skills; serve as a consumer advocate, and provide consumer information and peer support for clients in outpatient and inpatient settings. This position is a member of the Mental Health Court team and will participate in staffing and transitional planning review meetings.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certified Recovery Peer Specialist preferred. Must obtain certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist within first year of hire.
