Leadership & Advocacy Through Education, Support & Networking

Today, October 18, 2018, marks the fourth annual Global Peer Support Celebration Day (GPSCD). Please join the Peer Support Coalition of Florida, peer supporters, and others as we celebrate the important role we play in helping our peers who are struggling with mental health, addiction, and/or trauma-related challenges move along the continuum of recovery and inclusion into communities of their choosing.

How will you celebrate this important day dedicated to celebrating the great work you do? The purpose of Global Peer Support Celebration Day (GPSCD) is two-fold:

  1. For peers to recognize and reflect on their contributions and celebrate successes; and

  2. For the public, elected officials, and others to celebrate and recognize peer supporters and peer work at national, state and local levels, in the organizations that employ them, and throughout the behavioral (mental health and substance use) communities on the third Thursday in October.

Consider celebrating GPSCD by supporting those in need as the Panhandle continues to recover from Hurricane Michael. Please take a moment to complete this SurveyMonkey if you are interested in providing hope and support to those affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Michael.

The Peer Support Coalition of Florida is celebrating all of our amazing peer supporters today. Thank you for all your great work that continues to save lives every day!
