Helping Others Heal Training in Orlando & Naples NEXT MONTH!!!

Hello, PSCFL Members!

I hope this announcement finds you all well. We are excited to share with you, not one, but TWO,  free opportunities to participate in the 40-hour Helping Others Heal (HOH) Peer Specialist training.

The HOH: Peer Specialist training is a five-day, forty-hour intensive course with homework assignments. To receive a certificate of completion, individuals must:

  • Attend all five days and not miss more than four hours of the training for any reason
  • Actively participate in discussions and role plays
  • Complete all homework assignments

This training will address the four content areas for the Florida Certification Board’s Recovery Peer Specialist Certification including, Advocacy, Mentoring, Recovery Support, and Professional Responsibility. The training is intended to enable individuals to master the job tasks necessary to effectively work as a peer specialist.

Please note: Completion of this training does not certify participants as a Peer Specialist per the Florida Certification Board. This training will only satisfy the 40-hour training requirement as part of the Peer Specialist certification process. Additionally, PSCFL is not the coordinator of the HOH training. Should you have any questions regarding either training, please contact the organizers of each training listed in the training flyers below.
